ARTIST RESIDENCIES

M12 - Texte (1)

The Cité des Électriciens offers three artist residencies to accomodate artists participating in our mission of passing on knowledge and art.

Our residencies are open to a variety of arts and performers, such as poets, writers, photographers, film-makers or plastic artists, but also architects, landscapers, archivists, historians… Their mission is to create a piece of art, to research, to write a paper… related to mining landscape, town-planning or housing.

Each residence must result in a presentation. This could be, for example, an exhibition, a publication, a special event, or even workshops dedicated to special artistic techniques.

Located in the heart of the Cité, the artist residencies are contemporary and aesthetic while being comfortable and adapted to artistic needs : each one of them has a studio room devoted to pratice, which can also be used as an office if needed.

Each accomodation is named after a former resident of the Cité des Électriciens, who entrusted our team with their memories. A personal touch which will ensure every resident will feel at home « Chez Olga », « Chez Gaston » or « Chez Michel » !

Do you have a project and would like to know more about our residencies? Find out how to become a resident artist.
